Writing on UIGEA
One of the highest officers of a UK based consulting firm has made his opinion
about American's Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act know last week, he
thinks that it should be abandoned.
Joe Saumarez-Smith has stated that he simply thinks the act should be scrapped
and removed from the popular new site where it resides; the act was passed one
year ago.
He thoughts are that there are the same amount of people today gambling online
as there was a year ago, possibly more, and they are just not aware that the
laws have been changed. The reason they are not aware the law has been changed
is because it was snuck in as an amendment on increasing port security.
Saumarez-Smith along with many other people think that America learned during
the days of Prohibition that some bans are just unrealistic and that there is no
way for them to be truly enforced. At least with things like Prohibition it was
banned in the US period, not just specific types of liquor as it is with
specific types of online gambling.
