Poker Fans Dislike Gaming Restrictions
Poker fans have been lobbying on Capitol Hill for online gambling not to suffer
from the restrictions that have been imposed by the new internet laws last year.
A group called the Poker Players Alliance, more than 800,000 members strong are
mad that current federal laws restrict them from playing online poker. Some of
the members of this group are professional players and in all there are over 15
million people who player poker online in America alone.
Congress passed a law in 2006 that restricts online gaming the Poker Players
Alliance is refuting that, they are also lobbying for two different measures
that would leave poker out of the law as well as any new regulations to be made
over internet gambling; we will have to wait to see what happens.
