Gambling Bill gets supporters
In 2006 Congress passed the bill making it illegal for US banks to transfer
money to online casinos, since then there have been many people opposing the
bill and now even a law school professor and his students are joining in on the
fight. Professor Nesson is looking into the legal legitimacy of the bill.
Recently a bill was introduced that wants to legalize the $13 billion industry
to be mandated and controlled by the federal government.
The professor is trying to get the public to see poker as a positive, he is even
trying to introduce it into academia because he thinks that it is a game of
skill and dedication, a good skill for students to learn. He believes that if
the public saw poker as a good thing they would then find expression in the law.
