Playtech Gives Bumper Results
Investors were thrilled today with the release of the online casino software
provider Playtech's third quarter numbers. The numbers were released overnight
and investors are seeing the highest ever monthly revenues, which also
skyrocketed share prices almost 10%.
Playtech has said that they had an outstanding quarter showing record numbers
even following the withdrawal from the US last year, these numbers are not
including any contributions from the United States.
This quarters numbers are up 81% compared to the third quarter in 2006, these
increases were largely thanks to the growing popularity of Playtech's online
poker network. Poker revenues were up an amazing 266% in the recent history.
The company is absolutely delighted with their quarters record breaking numbers,
they say it demonstrates the presence of Playtech within the online gambling
world. Playtech was founded in 1999 by Teddy Sagi, in the years since then
Playtech has become the leading software provider for excellent casino games on
the internet today. They are part of the reason that online gambling is what it
is today.
